This course examines how historical, racialized, and intergenerational trauma shape the clinical presentation of Black American clients, and how stigma, mistrust, and bias affect engagement. Participants apply culturally responsive considerations across the eight phases of EMDR therapy and distinguish culturally responsive practice from colorblind approaches.
