Live Webinar

Approved for 12 EMDRIA Credits

This 2-day live webinar (April 15 & 22, 2023) will help clinicians decipher TBI myths from TBI facts.  Participants will be able to understand the different types of TBI’s and the accompanying signs and symptoms.  A review of recent research will occur in order to learn the parts of the brain that are affected and how these injuries impact brain function and symptomology.  This will lead to the different types of tests that can be given in order to determine the degree of damage and the classification of TBI’s in order to make appropriate referrals for treatment. The second day of this webinar will help EMDR trained clinicians conduct a thorough history of possible head injuries and whether or not someone has been diagnosed with a TBI.  Next, we will review different types of resources and mechanics to use with this population, potential obstacles to processing, and how to use EMDR techniques effectively to treat this population.

Presenter: Michelle Morrissey, Ph.D.
