Approved for 3 EMDRIA Credits
This three-part series (October 29, November 19 & December 17, 2026) will discuss the conceptual framework of how Internal Family Systems interventions fit into an EMDR integrative treatment plan. Participants will discuss developing an integrative case conceptualization. Ways that Internal Family Systems therapy interventions can support stabilization, enhance resource development, strengthen working alliance, client motivation, support desensitization and integration of therapeutic gains will be explored by addressing specific IFS interventions for each phase of the eight phases of EMDR therapy. Multiple practical interventions for beginning IFS within the EMDR phases with adults will be discussed. Techniques for addressing trauma-related fears and concerns held by protective parts will be reviewed, along with interventions that support stabilization, foster communication within the client’s internal system, and cultivate self-compassion for comprehensive trauma treatment.
Presenters: Rotem Brayer & Daphne Fatter, Ph.D.
