Based on a cancelled (due to illness) presentation at the 2016 EMDRIA Conference and 2015 Regional meeting presentation about Memory Reconsolidation and EMDR and recent conclusions drawn from the research. This presentation summarizes the research, shows how it applies to standard EMDR, and then explains the implications for treating clients who are overwhelmed with affect, afraid of it, or highly defended against it. Four brief videos illustrate the points made.
