Approved for 9 EMDRIA Credits
This training (May 8 & 15, 2026) explores the use of Parts Work in psychotherapy with clients who present complex and challenging clinical presentations, including Complex PTSD, Borderline features, suicidality, DID, and high levels of avoidance. Rooted in the understanding that symptoms are adaptive strategies developed in the context of abuse, neglect, and relational trauma, Parts Work supports clients in increasing co-consciousness, self leadership, internal collaboration, and healing. This course emphasizes practical skills for identifying, validating, and gently engaging protective, wounded, and distressed parts of self while maintaining therapeutic grounding and attunement. Participants learn strategies for attachment repair with younger developmental parts, responding to suicidal parts with compassion and curiosity, and navigating dissociative fragmentation without urgency or overwhelm. Through guided reflection, role play, and discussion, therapists build confidence, reduce frustration, and deepen patience in working with clients whose behaviors often evoke strong countertransference responses.
