Many trauma survivors present as highly functional, insightful, and motivated in therapy, yet continue to experience hidden barriers to EMDR processing. This workshop explores how subtle dissociative adaptations organized around attachment preservation, emotional over regulation, and compliance can be mistaken for readiness. Participants will learn to recognize indicators of subtle dissociation, assess readiness more accurately, and apply stabilization strategies that support effective trauma reprocessing.
