Approved for 3 EMDRIA Credits

This training focuses on enhancing EMDR clinical practice through a somatic-informed lens that supports Adaptive Information Processing (AIP). Drawing from sensorimotor principles, participants will learn to identify and respond to nervous system cues that emerge during EMDR reprocessing while maintaining fidelity to the standard EMDR protocol. The training emphasizes an experimental, non-interpretive stance and provides practical strategies for Phase 2 resourcing and subtle Phase 4 interweaves that facilitate regulation and integration without overriding the EMDR process. Clinicians will deepen their understanding and embodied sense of how to conceptualize body-based responses as information that can guide ethical, effective EMDR treatment.

Presenter: Kathryn Dietzway, LCSW
