EMDR therapists these days are offered a plethora of non-standard protocols and specialized ways to perform EMDR therapy that did not exist when EMDR was developed. Pressure to incorporate more protocols and alternative approaches can result in not only confusion about our identities as EMDR therapists, but also frustration with the progress of our clients. For those clinicians who have ever wondered if they will ever be a ‘good enough’ EMDR therapist, this program will suggest realistic expectations on how to achieve that state.
