Few clinicians complete their EMDR Therapy basic training with all the skills necessary to treat the full array of PTSD presentations. Basic training mostly teaches how to treat simple PTSD, not complex PTSD. Applying the mandate to go quickly into Phase 4 reprocessing with the majority of people with trauma histories can cause harm. This advanced workshop will teach the importance of Phase 2 of the Standard Protocol with the full array of PTSD presentations including strategies to treat the complexity. It will teach Structural Dissociation Theory and how to treat non-realization, non-personification, and non-presentification processes, which must be treated before reprocessing can be successful.
