Online Course
This online course illustrates how knowledge regarding the brain’s function can guide us with EMDR strategies that can produce robust and lasting characterological effects, in attachment disorders and complex PTSD. Participants will learn strategies for restructuring neural networks particularly in the subcortical brainstem and midbrain by focusing on the neurological processes that mediate unconscious emotional drives, motivations, and core beliefs; mediated by implicit/non-declarative/reflexive/nonconscious memory, as opposed to explicit/declarative/reflective/conscious memory. This paradigm shift moves away from the centrality of the central nervous system to the centrality of the autonomic and peripheral nervous system. This online course explains why and how to shift the focus from the more conscious processes of thought to emotions and what is experienced in the body.
