EMDR Therapy with Suicide Loss Survivors

“Suicide is a serious public health problem. Worldwide, suicide ranks among the three leading causes of death among adolescents and young adults. Statistics say that there is approximately one death every 11 minutes.” (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 2023). Due to the pervasiveness of death by suicide, EMDR therapists are very likely to work with clients who either have attempted suicide or have a family member or friend who died by suicide.
