This report, written just before the COVID-19 pandemic, introduces relevant issues with regard to the virtual delivery of EMDR therapy and specifically addresses professional practice and guidelines, ethical considerations, and overarching issues for EMDR therapy delivered by virtual means. The report was presented to the EMDRIA Board of Directors on January 18, 2020. Members of the Virtual Training and Therapy Task Group included Sharon Rollins, MS-LPC, NCC; Tamra Hughes, MA, LPC; Gayle Cordes, DBH, LPC, LISAC; Mischa Cohen-Peck, MA, MSW, PhD; and Joanna Watson-Wong, LMFT.
