Erratum to “Affect-focused EMDR: Clinical strategies for working with relational trauma.”
An update and correction to a previous article.
Erratum
“The authors would like to make a factual attribution correction to their article entitled “Affect-Focused EMDR: Clinical Strategies for Working with Relational Trauma(opens in new tab)” [1]. In the original publication, the concept of telescopic processing was attributed solely to Elan Shapiro in Figure 3 and in the accompanying text (p. 5). This attribution was incomplete: the concept was jointly developed by Elan Shapiro and Brurit Laub as part of the Recent Traumatic Episode Protocol (R-TEP). Two references have been added accordingly [54,56], and Figure 3 has been updated. In addition, the text now recognizes that Elan Shapiro and Brurit Laub attributed the intermediate EMDr strategy, within the concept of telescopic processing, to R. Kiessling in the form of a personal communication in 2008.
