A Case Vignette Illustrating PsyA-EMDR in Psilocybin Therapy: Enabling Symbolic Repair, Inner Reparenting, and Lasting Shifts in Self-Worth, Safety, and Identity
This clinical case vignette illustrates PsyA-EMDR used within psilocybin-assisted therapy to support symbolic repair, inner reparenting, and shifts in identity, safety, and self-worth. The client’s journey spans preparation, psychedelic experience, and integration, showing how transpersonal imagery activated early attachment-based trauma. Through EMDR processing, somatic release, and internal resourcing, catastrophic fear transformed into empowerment, compassion, and a new core belief: I am enough, and I can keep myself safe. This resource demonstrates how PsyA-EMDR can bridge transpersonal states to early wounds for lasting change.
