EMDRIA member Julie Miller, LPC, LISAC, was a guest on the RSS podcast Talking Filthy Police in episode 25, “EMDR Lights the Way.” First responders often have post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) due to the nature of their work. Our Go With That magazine published one of its issues on “EMDR Therapy with First Responders.”
Tony Parmenter, LCMHC, LMHC, LAADC, CADC-II and EMDRIA Member was interviewed in this article regarding his innovative and integrative approach that combines EMDR therapy with nature. Parmenter’s research proposal regarding the use of therapeutic fly-fishing and EMDR stems from experiences helping those with combat-related PTSD.
