1. Identify
Draw someone that is caring or helpful, either a real person or a movie/TV character.
2. Emotions and Sensations
As you draw, notice what you see, hear, and feel right now.
3. Enhancement
Do “Fun Movement” while thinking about this person.
4. Cue Word
Choose a word or phrase to help you remember this person.
5. Connect Cue & Resource
Think about your word and your caring/nice person and add “Fun Movement.”
6. Encourage
Think about this person when you need to feel cared for and loved.
Additional ideas:
Instead of drawing, the child can paint, or do a collage, or find images online. You can do this activity with a group. Each member can take turns identifying resources and acting them out. You can plan a game for all the children to show their relational resources.
