Goal:
Help the child recognize their ability to learn and grow.
Materials:
Worksheet, crayons/colors/markers
Instructions:
Help the child identify things that they have learned throughout their life. Ask how they feel when they think about being capable of learning. Instruct them to breathe in and breathe out while thinking about how much they have learned. Adapt what tasks the child includes depending on their age. Also, they can write or draw in each box. Each time the child identifies something they have learned, do a “Fun Movement” for 15 seconds with them.
• Tie my shoes
• Ride my bike
• Spell my name
• Identify colors
• Go to the bathroom by myself
Additional Ideas:
A group can do a timeline with all the members or each participant can develop their timeline. After completing, group members can take turns sharing by either talking or acting out their abilities while other members guess what the participant is acting out.
