About Me
I take a holistic approach in my therapy practice because healing happens in the mind body and soul. I strive to ensure that I practice cultural humility and inclusion in my work. That being said, I welcome people from all backgrounds. My areas of expertise include trauma related issues such as intimate partner violence, childhood trauma, religious trauma and sexual abuse. I can also provide support for those working through life transitions, grief/loss, family of origin conflict, and dealing self-esteem issues. I believe everyone can benefit from therapy. I recognize how difficult seeking help can be and acknowledge the strength it takes to start counseling. I have a passion to help my clients reclaim their voice and realize self-empowerment. I also know that there is hope through healing...infinite hope.
Education & Experience
My journey as a clinician began at Texas State University where I received a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work in 2014. I then transferred to The University of Texas at Arlington where I received my Masters of Science in Social Work in 2015. My advanced training includes evidence based practices such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). I am a 200 hour registered yoga teacher and am trained in the Trauma Conscious Yoga Method.
