About Me
Celinda is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with certification in EMDR and received her Master’s Degree in Counseling from Northern Illinois University. Her clinical training included Partner Abuse Intervention Program, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Client-Centered Play Therapy, and TheraPlay. Her areas of specialty include Trauma Focused counseling, Individual therapy, Children, Adolescents, Anxiety, Depression, communication and social skill building, and attachment-related issues. Celinda`s client centered and strength-based approach is one of acceptance, understanding and empathetic connection to meet her clients where they're at and work toward change through uses of trauma-informed therapy, EMDR, play therapy, sand tray, mindfulness, movement, cognitive-behavioral therapy, psycho-educational, and evidence-based practices and interventions.
