About Me

Celinda is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and received her Master’s Degree in Counseling from Northern Illinois University. Her clinical training included Partner Abuse Intervention Program, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Client-Centered Play Therapy, and TheraPlay. Her areas of specialty include Trauma Focused counseling, Individual therapy, Children, Adolescents, Anxiety, Depression, communication and social skill building, and attachment-related issues. Celinda`s client centered and strength-based approach is one of acceptance, understanding and empathetic connection to meet her clients where they're at and work toward change through uses of trauma-informed therapy, EMDR, play therapy, sand tray, mindfulness, movement, cognitive-behavioral therapy, psycho-educational, and evidence-based practices and interventions.
