About Me

My roots are in forensic psychology, working with individuals who have been involved in the criminal justice system due to substance use. Through this experience, I feel I was able to work with people from a variety of backgrounds. I enjoy working with people who are at any stage in life. I have been at New Outlook Counseling for over a year and have had the pleasure of working with college students, parents, caregivers, and trauma survivors. I have developed a passion working with individuals who have complex trauma from emotional, physical, and/or sexual abuse. I offer a collaborative and cooperative approach to treatment, utilizing harm reduction with many mental health concerns. I am fully trained in eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR). I also utilize cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), cognitive processing therapy (CPT), and motivational interviewing (MI). I would be happy to meet with you to see how I can best help you on your next steps in life, in whatever changes you are ready to make.
