Kelly K Edmundson, M.A., LMFT, LCADC

About Me

Kelly is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist and Licensed Clinical Alcohol & Drug Counselor in Nevada. She is also a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist in California. As a family systems trained therapist, Kelly views the world through the lens that we are profoundly interconnected, and believes strongly in the power of healing through our relationships. Her approach with clients is integrative, strengths-based and resilience informed. She uses mindfulness-based, somatic and neurophysiological modalities including EMDR and Brainspotting (BSP). In her free time, Kelly is out exploring Lake Tahoe and the California coast with her family and friends. She thrives being out in nature with her dog Bridger and enjoys SUP, mountain biking, yoga, backcountry and nordic skiing, golf, live music, travel, cooking and gardening.

Education & Experience

Kelly obtained her Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Sofia University (Palo Alto, CA) and a Bachelors degree in Fine Art Dance from Cornish College of the Arts (Seattle, WA). She weaves elements of several modalities into the art and practice of counseling. Kelly is trained in EMDR and Brainspotting. She is pursuing EMDR certification with an EMDRIA approved consultant.

Kelly is certified by the American Association for Marriage & Family Therapy as a licensed Clinical Fellow and served on the Board of Directors for the Nevada Association for Marriage & Family Therapy. She is a member of the Nevada Coalition for Systemic Counseling and EMDR International Association (EMDRIA),
