Matthew Dyer, LPC, NCC
About Me
Hi, my name is Matthew Dyer. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Board Approved Clinical Supervisor that specializes in Trauma Therapy. Prior to earning my counseling degree I served in the United States Marine Corps. This gives me a unique perspective when serving our veteran and first responder population. I have experience working with adolescents and adults in many settings ranging from community mental health to in-patient settings. I bring humor and a motivating personality into session. I use EMDR therapy to help people process trauma to reach their live worth living. EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. It is a form of therapy that helps people heal from trauma or other distressing life experiences. EMDR therapy has been extensively researched and is recommended for trauma treatment. I will leave you with a quote that I believe in, from Viktor E. Frankl, “Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom.”
