About Me

Terri Stockdreher, LCSW, MPH is an EMDRIA Approved Consultant and EMDR Certified Therapist practicing EMDR since 2007. She has presented on EMDR and trauma locally, nationally, and at the 2019 EMDR International Association Conference. For 5 years Terri was the Lead of the National VA and Vet Center EMDR Conference Call providing case consultation, clinical learning, and advocacy for 400+ VA EMDR providers across the country. After working in the PTSD Clinical Team at New Orleans VA for 12 years, in 2021, Terri founded Brave Living Center which focuses on trauma informed practice using evidence-based and alternative treatments like iRest Yoga Nidra meditation. Humour and empathic exploration of challenging clinical topics make her EMDR consultation an enjoyable process in helping providers’ grow. As a Certified Daring Way Facilitator, she leads workshops based on Brené Brown’s shame resiliency, authenticity, and wholehearted living research. Terri volunteers with the Louisiana EMDR Trauma Recovery Network providing pro bono treatment to first responders. She also volunteers on the advisory team for Not One More Vet’s CLEAR Blueprint veterinary practice certification program for cultivating mentally healthy workplaces. Terri is especially passionate about supporting providers in mental health, medical, and veterinary professions through psychotherapy, consultation, and training on burnout, compassion fatigue, moral injury, and resiliency.
